March along Pi Day 2026 with a healthy hike in Irvine up and down the Bommer Canyon Trail starting from Turtle Rock Community Park. Let’s take a break from our daily routines and remember what it’s like to be in the moment with nature or just keep company and chat!

Distance estimated to be about 4.1 miles out and back.
Elevation peak: 645ft above starting point.
Pets are not allowed on this hike.
Bathrooms: Restrooms will be available at Turtle Rock Community Park as well as the Bommer Trailhead area.
Parking: Free. Due to the large group size, our primary parking area will be at Turtle Rock Community Park. From there, we will walk to the Bommer trailhead. Alternative parking for overflow will be at the main Bommer Canyon Trailhead. Claim your spots early and consider carpooling if you’d like.
Meeting Spot: Turtle Rock Community Park’s parking lot for early and punctual birds. Late and overflow birds can wait and meet us at the Bommer Canyon Trailhead if parking is available there by the time we pass through.
Things To Bring: Water, sunscreen, light energy snacks, hat, sunglasses, hiking clothes, etc.
